A dewy, glowing look is a popular celebrity and red carpet look. The look is a modified and more glamorous. There is still glitter and shine involved, but it's more controlled and colors are blended more subtly on the face. The ultimate glowing and dewy look makes you look shimmery and fresh-faced but not overtly made up and sparkly.
Here’s How to Create a Dewy, Glowing Look from the Red Carpet:
1. Start with a clean face. Dry or combination skin types should moisturize their skin with their favorite water-based facial moisturizer. For the dewy look, a moisturizer with an iridescent quality will help create the first layer of luminosity.
2. Apply concealer if you need to, to cover blemishes, spots, under-eye circles or any other imperfections. Blend the concealer well.
3. Blend a favorite liquid foundation and a small pinch of pink or white shimmery powder to apply to your face.
If you have dry skin, you can add moisturizer at this stage (instead of step one). For oily skin, consider a tinted moisturizer or a transparent foundation moisturizer instead of a full-coverage foundation. Tips for the dewy look: shop for a water-based (rather than oil-based) foundation containing mica.
4. Apply the mixture with a flat, tapered foundation brush, which will give your shimmering complexion a natural look. Opt for a brush with anti-bacterial technology.
5. Finishing powder will help keep your look in place, and is required for already-oil skin. Try Estée Lauder Platinum Illuminator Loose Shimmer Powder.
6. Add shimmering cream to your upper cheekbones. For oily skin, use a shimmery loose powder instead of a cream. Look for products described as highlighters or illuminating on the packaging. Avoid using matte or pressed powder to the face, which will undo the dewy look you've created.
7. Keep lips a light color, only a shade darker than your natural color.
8. Apply some highlighter powder and moisturizer, or the highlighting cream to your brow bone. Keep eyeliner and mascara to a minimum. Use only a natural brown that is barely noticeable if you want eye makeup.
So there you have it, the perfect look at a great price!
Let me know how your look came out,
